WRONGFULL DISMISSAL When an employer terminates your employment
he will very often hand you a letter of termination which sets out the reason and the terms he is prepared to offer. This
is referred to as your "Termination Package". He will also ask you to sign a Release. You should, of course, not
sign until you have consulted a lawyer to ensure you are in fact being offered a proper entitlement. You can bring the package
to Mr. King for his review and he will advise you if the package is adequate. If it is you can be on your way with confidence
without any cost to you. This is because you will have had the advantage of a free half hour consultation. If further
action is required you may decide to retain Mr. King or you are free to retain any lawyer of your choice with no further obligation.
If you choose Mr. King you have a lawyer with vast experience in your corner, because he has taken on some of the biggest
corporations and won. One note of caution. Wrongfull Dismissal is designed
for the long term employee. Five, ten, twenty years or more. Someone who has devoted years of service to a company and who
suddenly find themself out the door. While the law does apply the same to shorter employments your best course of action is
probably a Small Court Claim.
